Tucked away on the second floor of an unassuming high-rise in the Sheung Wan district of Hong Kong, one could be forgiven for passing Lily Bookshop without ever registering its presence. But for those in the know, this enchanting secondhand bookstore offers a respite from the busy streets below. Scarcely bigger than a broom closet, Lily Bookshop is packed to the brim with towers of books creating narrow, precarious aisles between sections. In spite of its size—or perhaps because of it—it’s the sort of place a bibliophile could get lost in.
