Arabiq Books & Gallery Café, in Osaka is a jewel box of a shop tucked away in a side street. It’s located in a neighborhood of small wooden structures that you would never realize was there, just walking along the nearby bustling main street lined with tall, anonymous buildings. To say it is inviting is an understatement. The entrance is wreathed with plants; inside it is cozy, with rooms tumbling one after the other, the books sharing shelf space with dolls and bric-a-brac, and if you want to soak in the atmosphere, you can snag a seat in the café and enjoy a cup of coffee, the only thing they serve.
